Ten tips to help keep your back healthy
Following Meakim & Stern's simple and easy tips can help you keep your back healthy.

•  Have your spine checked regularly. It is much easier to prevent problems than to correct one!
•  Eat your fruits and vegetables. Your body needs nutrients to heal itself.
•  Don't cradle your phone between your shoulder and neck. Use a headset if you don't want to hold it!
•  Exercise regularly! It helps to strengthen your heart and all your other muscles. Pick an activity that you enjoy so that you will do it.
•  Try not to carry heavy, unbalanced loads. For instance, if you wear a backpack, wear straps on both shoulders.
•  Buy a good mattress, bed pillow, and chair for work. You spend a lot of time in these areas and you are worth it.
•  Don't sleep on your stomach. If you stood all day long with your head rotated to one side, that wouldn't be good for you, either!
•  Stretch before and after exercise.
•  Stretch while you are working if you sit for long periods of time.
•  Take Omega-3 fatty acids. Good fats are extremely good for the proper function of your body, and they help decrease inflammation.
