How will I know I'm out of alignment?
Your body will let you know in subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle ways that your alignment is out.
Pain or loss of balance are the most common signs that your alignment is off.

Changes you might experience after your first N.U.C.C.A. adjustment
You will experience changes throughout your care under N.U.C.C.A. These changes are completely normal. When your body regains its proper alignment, it begins a healing process. You may notice any of the following changes:

1. Decrease or complete relief of pain and symptoms.
2. Pain moving from a larger area to a smaller area.
3. Pain in spots that the doctor didn't even touch.
4. Fatigue as your body heals.
5. Headaches as your body releases toxins.
6. Muscle aches as your body balances.

7. Runny nose, diarrhea, or changes in menstrual periods as your body eliminates toxins.
8. Pain moving from place to place, not lasting for longer than three days in any one place.

Please discuss these, or any other changes with your doctor.

Tips for holding your N.U.C.C.A. correction
1. Fatigue is the easiest way to lose a correction, so please let your body rest. Your body needs to channel energy into healing.
2. Be patient: the body's healing process can be very slow.
3. The N.U.C.C.A. correction is powerful and subtle. Please do not let anyone pop or twist your neck at this time. We are looking for stability, not hypermobility.
4. Do not use your head to turn yourself over when lying down.
5. It is best not to have a massage on the same day as a N.U.C.C.A. adjustment. The day before or three days after is fine.
6. Use proper ergonomics when working or lifting anything.
7. Avoid sleeping on your stomach. This puts your head and neck in extreme rotation and can cause misalignment and stability.
8. Be happy and have fun with your new body freedom. We don't like it when you lose your correction, but we like to hear that you lost it doing something you love.
